I recently fell into a slump where I didn’t want to do anything. When I went home, all I wanted to do was sit on the couch or in front of my computer. I took a lot of naps and watched too much Netflix and Youtube.
Each time this happens, I reevaluate what motivates me and where I want to be. No one wants to be a couch potato but many of us inevitably become one, myself included. Sometimes you need to be one just to regain some energy.
But one of things that gets me off the couch in a hurry is a great idea for a book. Other times it’s seeing other people being active and being inspired to be the same.
Recently, finding new music has gotten me to my feet and moving. I have a special love for music (and a superpower for identifying instrumental music and composers).
If you catch a woman head-banging in her car or busting a move while out walking, there’s a good chance it’s me.
Find or make your own motivation, no matter what it is, and keep moving forward!
